My ideal holidays

Hello everybody, this week i'll speak and describe my ideal holidays.
The truth is that the place i don't care, but i prefer a place near a lake or some place in the mountain, because i don't like the beach in Chile as place of holidays, i lived in the beach, so that is like stay in home (except Rapa Nui of course).

So, a ideal place is near to mountain of ninth or tenth region or a place in the south of Chile, and here i would like to do trekking, ride in bicycle, to take a lot of picture from the place and enjoy three weeks of the nature.

I would like to go with a lot of people, like my family, my boyfriend and friends. I would like to go specially with my dad, sister and brother because when i was a little, we could never go on vacation. Maybe is too late to do this but i would do some day. And for this reason, this would be my ideal holidays.

Also i would like to go to Torres del Paine with my boyfriend, and maybe this summer we can go, everything depends of work, time and money.

I like this photograph

Hello everybody, today i'll comment about my favourite photograph. Well, i have many photograph that i like, but this is special for me.

This picture was taken by the camera, was automatic, becouse only was there my boyfriend and me.
We were in Laguna El Alto, in National Reserve Altos de Lircay  (Region of Maule).

This was in december of 2009 and this trip was too short, between Christmas and New Year, and it was my first trip with my boyfriend.

To take us this picture, we walked more of five hours, we start in the morning from the camping and arrived at El Enladrillado, and finally we walked more and  arrived at the lagoon and it is a wonderful place, but we had to go back to camping, so we could not go down to the shore of the lagoon.

Well, here is my favourite picture and i like becouse this trip was whith my boyfriend and also to know a beautiful place.

Otai Sushi

Hello, this week i going to talk about my favourite place to eat.

Except the fast food restaurants, like Pizza Hut, McDonalds and others, my best place to eat is OTAI SUSHI. It is in Irarrazaval avenue 3097, in the corner of José Pedro Alessandri, in Ñuñoa.

One day  my boyfriend and me were looking for a place to eat sushi, and it is near to my home. So we ate there and the food was excelent.

This is a special place, becouse here have different rooms, and you can call to make a reserve and invite to your friends, and is like to stay in the room of your home, but you don´t have to clean or to wash dishes.

When i go to OTAI always order the same promotion, this is Bambu, and has 30 pieces. This is ok to 2 persons, and the best of all, it.s very cheap, only $8.600.

There is other cheaper promotion, Agua, this also has 30 pieces , and the value is only $7.000.

Stereotypes from the faculty

 
Hello everybody, in this time i want to write about the different stereotypes from the FAU, specially, i want to write about the students of this faculty.


In the faculty, there are two types of people: the students of architecture and design and on the other hand the students of geography. I think that this difference is very notoriously or evident.


This last stereotype, in my opinion, every wear sport clothes, and specially wear brand trainers, for example North Face or Columbia. I think that is because in our career we have to go out for terrain to different places, and for that we need to have got correct clothing...

My favourite piece of technology

Helo everybody, today i 'll comment about my favourite piece of technology, and it is my laptop, because i am not very technological.

My laptop is the thing most technological that i have, really i don´t have mp4, ipod or a technologycal mobile, the truth is that my mobile is very older, it don´t have camera, music or TV.

Well, my laptop is a present from my uncle, really my uncle send me the money (because he lives in Norway), and i loking for a laptop cheap and cheerfull. And i have it from one year ago.

I use it for everything, to make homeworks, to see movies, to save pictures and information that interesting me, and too i use my laptop to play in internet or some games older that i played in SNES when i was in my home.

Generally, i use it every days in the night, when i arrived to my home, and i can speak with my dad and my sisters, because my dad is not in Santiago, but he is not very good to write in the computer, so that i prefer call him.

Really i can live without my laptop, although now it will be so hard because i am used to using my laptop.

My Favourite Movie

The Shining (1980), this movie i like so much. This movie was directed by Stanley Kubrick, and besed on the book of the same name of  Stephen King and starring by Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall and Danny Lloyd.

I like because keep me alert all movie, and that is a very good reason, because as a rule i get distracted a lot. 

When i was little, i could never saw a complete movie, so, i saw to my sister: what happened?,  i don`t understand why...finally i slept and next day i asked her: and which was the end of the movie?

Well, the first time i saw The Shining was in 2002 with a group of friends from the Universitary residence.

The Shining is a movie of  psycological horror, and the plot is about Jack Torrance (a writer) and his family, they arrived to the Overlook hotel to take care while this is empty, and here happened strange things. 

The Jack`s son has terrifying premonition about the hotel, and Jack with the lonelines and pressure for write his novel he begins to go crazy, and to get violent.

Finally Jack want to kill his wife and son...and to know the end, i recommend you see it.

A great trip

In the summer of 2005, my friends of school and me went to National Reserve 7 Tazas

(i think know is a National Park), in the region of Maule.

We was five persons, and this was our first trip together,

fot this reason this is my most significant trip.

When we arrived to camping, in the nigth, just we to find a place to our

tent in Municipal Camping. So, the next day, we went to camping of CONAF, because it was most

safe to our bags and tent. But we had got a problem, in the camping hadn´t place for more people.

However, we did to find a person that we invited to stayed with he, his name was Gato

(not really name of course), so that we equip the tent

in his place.

Now we was 6, and this guy was nice and interesting.So that we was all time with

he and too we made some friend in the twoo weeks that we stayed

in these place.

Finally, my friends came back to San Antonio, but Gato and me went to Alto BioBio and Temuco, so that i can say that he was my love of summer. And this is a story for other post.

a person that i admire

I really don`t admire anyone person related to my career, geography. But there are some people that i like some things that they done.

For example i like the works of some teacher than i have before studyng at the University of Chile, and i like a person who is know in the world, he is Charles Darwin, he was born in England at 1809 and is a scientist who is present today in the many studies done regarding the evolution of species.

Charles Darwin is not exactly a geographer, is a naturalist who studied the living things and concluded that all species have evolved over time from a common ancestor through a process he called natural selection.

Well, what I admire about this person is that he traveled to many places in the world and became interested in investigating sites at the time were very distant and maybe unknown.

And I find it interesting to see and visit the same places where he did his studies,for example the mount "La Campana", which is located on the fifth region.

27 th february

I lived the last earthquake in my home in Santiago. I was whit my boyfriend, Leo and a friend, but he was sleep and his girlfriend, Eva, was drived in the street.

I was go to bed and i can´t do it, because started the movement and i have afraid of the tremor and little quakes and of course the earthquake, so i jumped for the bed and run to open the door, and well, my boyfriend was my hero, he made me at ease and all was rigth. But i was nervious , becouse i can't called to my family in San Antonio.

After the earthquake Leo, my friend and me was have a look in the home for a torch to chequed the home and we went to see our neighbor and to wait for Eva, she arrived well at home.

Finally, in the morning i could speak with my dad and my sisters, and their was ok, but i saw the news and this was terrible.

After all, i learned to stay trained for an any emergency and to try to keep calm.

Introduction

Hello teacher and classmates, this is my new blog for english 3 and get your comments about this subjects and learn more.

And this is the first task, writing about me and then keep posting here and commenting the blogs from my classmates.

About me, my name is Pamela Cerda,i am 27 years and i study Geography in the FAU in the University of Chile, i' m from San Antonio, in the coast, but i live in Santiago with my friend's mom.
My dad lives in San Antonio, and i hope to go this weekend to see.
