Wednesday, 11 May 2011

Hello everybody.

Well, this is the city that i chose to study, and leaving aside the problems to major cities, I think that this is a great city. Every day you have something to do, instead in my city no, the truth is that it is a bit boring.

I like Santiago because is a city with culture, entertainment, public transportation works day and night, there are many parks, it’s near the mountains and beach.

I think there are many interesting things to do in this city, for example visit the Cajón del Maipo by nature and beautiful landscapes.
Other place is The Palace of La Moneda and some remaining buildings with history in down town.

I would suggest a tourist to visit:
-The Cerro Santa Lucía, hopefully on a clear and clean day to photograph the city.
-Visit the Cajón del Maipo  to do hiking or trekking, and horseback riding.
-Go to Museo de Bellas Artes and its surrounding area to visit the coffe shops.

Greetings to all and see you soon.

A piece of art

Thursday, 21 April 2011

Hello teacher and classmates, today i'm going to talk about a piece of art that i like.

The piece of art is a painting from Pablo Picasso, and this is called Guernica, it name is because Picasso painted it a pairs of month after of bombard the city of Guernica in Spain, in the Spanish Civil War. This is a wonderful work painted on canvas and Pablo Picasso presented his work in 1.937 in the Paris International Exhibition by to have the attention of the people in relation to the things than was happened in Spain.

I saw this work for the first time when i was a girl, and i saw this piece of art in a diary of my sister, this was a diary about painted and the most interesting was the Guernica and i liked it because this was the only one in black and white, all the others painting was in color. This painting was awesome because you could see as a puzzle.

And in those years was Franco in Spain, so Picasso opted to leave the Guernica in the MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) in New York. And he want that the painting should go back to Spain when return the democracy.
And today the Guernica is in Museum Reina Sofia, in Madrid.

Bye bye and good weekend.

A entertaining game.

Thursday, 14 April 2011

I like a lot of board game as Ludo, Chess, Pictionary, but the most interesting and entertaining game for me is Attack also named Risk, a game of global domination.

I learnt to play this game 2 or 3 years ago, in my boyfriend's home with his nephew. In the game, you have armies, armaments and some territories or nations in five continents that you want to care and to protect from the attack of the others gamers, and the aim of this board game is to win or conquest territories to yours opponents and finally win the game with the one gamer who captures every country and continent in the board.

Now i not much play this game, because ever win the same persons, and this is not me.
But when i play i do it with my boyfriend, his nephew and his niece, and i never can to win, i think that this is because their play Attack a lot of years ago.

In spite of i never win, this game is very entertainin because is a game of strategy and i never boring to play, you can play this game for a lot of hours because you can lose your territories and after you can to recover this.

Bye bye classmates and techer.
